Naturally creative and entrepreneurial, I am pioneering in my outlook having had a broad education and a diverse cultural and geographic career.

​

I studied at the School of Architecture, Liverpool University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and, after working at KKA Architects in Liverpool, moved to Germany for 5 years where, amongst other projects, I was the principal designer and co-project manager overseeing the design and construction of a 35m 200 tonnes 'superyacht' in Gdansk, Poland.

Back in the UK I have held the position of Director of a number of property and development companies for over 20 years and have 25 years experience in property, design and construction. Studied for Diploma in Architecture at John Moore's University.

Projects have been diversified: marine undertakings; the design of private dental practises (Germany and UK); the design and construction of beachside villas in Antigua, West Indies; working as a consultant for a German contractor building Lidl and Aldi supermarkets in the UK.

​

I am both confident and competent at leading a team in a dynamic and professional environment from initial concept and appraisal, to planning and building control submission, to project delivery and completion.

​

I have gained a wealth of knowledge, experience and practical skills from working both on site as well as in the office environment.

​

I am married to Louisa, a Luxury Brand Experience professional (www.louisacockram.com) and have 4 children; 2 grown up and 2 younger. In 2010 we moved to the Highlands of Scotland where we have designed and built our family home.
