St. Vincent street, Liverpool
A seven storey mixed use development built in two phases comprising 43 resiential units, 5 commercial units and underground parking for 12 vehicles in the heart of Liverpool city centre.
Built from back of pavement to back of pavement, the site was bounded on 3 sides by roads and proved very challenging logistically during construction.
Careful consideration was given to the method of construction and in-situ reinforced concrete beam and posts were utilised to form the frame. Each floor was built using pre-cast concrete slabs which were brought to site and erected in one day. The building was clad with a mix of glazed curtain walling, face brick and self coloured render panels.
I was the principal designer, project manager and developer.
The apartments portion of the development were let fully furnished as an apartment hotel on the basis of a 2 nightly minimum stay until last year at which time the development was sold to Chinese investors.
